Rules
The competition is open to violinists of all nationalities, who, before July 1, 2012, have completed the online application form and have paid the application fee of 100 euro.
The maximum number of candidates for the violin competition is 24.
No candidates will be eliminated in the first two rounds. This means all candidates will play all pieces.
Prizes
1st prize: 3000€
2nd prize: 2000€
3rd prize: violin case offered by Dimitri Musafia

- J.S. BACH: Adagio and Fuge from one of the 3 sonatas for violin solo (free choice)

SECOND ROUND (Tuesday July 24th)
- P. HINDEMITH: sonata for violin solo opus 31 #2 (1924)

- Fünf Variationen über das Lied "Komm, lieber Mai" v. Mozart
- NN - new composition for this competition, available from March 26, 2012 (winning composition of the
International Composition Competition 2011 organized by Sorodha) - ISANG YUN: Kontraste (2nd movement)

FINAL (Thursday July 26th)
- B. BARTOK: solo sonata (Chaconne)
or
S. PROKOFIEFF: solo sonata opus 115 (complete) - One solo piece of a maximum duration of 10 minutes (free choice)
It is not allowed to repeat one of the pieces played in the 1st or 2nd round.

To enter the competition, you need to complete the online application form and transfer the application fee of 100 euro before July 1, 2012. Bank account details can be found on our contact page.
